Patrick C. M. Wong
ProfessorProf. Patrick Wong received his undergraduate degree in linguistics and doctoral degree in cognitive psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience at the University of Chicago Medical School. He is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the USA. Before joining CUHK in January 2013, Prof. Wong was a tenured faculty member at Northwestern University. Prof. Wong’s research concerns language learning, neurolinguistics, speech processing, communication disorders, language and genetics, auditory neuroscience, and music cognition. His research has appeared in a broad array of scholarly journals such as Nature Neuroscience, The Journal of Neuroscience, and Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, among other publications, and his research has received public attention from media outlets such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
