Caroline Féry is Professor for Phonology at the Department of Linguistics at the University of Frankfurt since February 2010. Before that she was Professor for "Theory of Grammar/Phonology" at the Department of Linguistics at the University of Potsdam since 1999. Her interests lie most of all in the prosodic and tonal structure of languages, in the interface between syntax and intonation as well as in the theory of grammar. She has founded the Research Center SFB 632 on Information Structure in Potsdam and Berlin, and directs two projects in this framework. She also directs two further projects funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and she has edited several books. She has got her dissertation from the University of Constance (Germany) in 1989, and her Habilitation in 1995 in Tübingen (Germany) but got her degrees in Brussels, her native town.
