Bodo Winter (M.A., University of Hawai'i; Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology; PhD candidate, University of California, Merced) is a PhD candidate at the Cognitive and Information Sciences group of the University of California, Merced. His primary research focuses on language evolution, gesture, and experimental cognitive linguistics. Methodologically, Bodo specializes in web-based research and statistical methods, including meta-analyses, mixed models and conditional random forests. His research has appeared in a broad array of journals, including Cortex, BioEssays, Frontiers in Psychology and Journal of Pragmatics.
