Andy Wedel (PhD UC Berkeley (Mol. Biology), PhD UC Santa Cruz(Linguistics)) is an Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He studies change in language sound-systems at multiple time-scales, approaching language change as an evolutionary, dynamical system that integrates information at multiple levels of description. His research program integrates a number of methodological approaches, including simulation, corpus work, and experimental paradigms.
