Luis López is professor of Spanish linguistics and co-director of the bilingualism research laboratory at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His research interests revolve mostly around syntax and its interfaces. He has published three books: Indefinite Objects (2012, MIT), A derivational syntax for information structure (2009, OUP) and Locality and the architecture of syntactic dependencies (2007, Palgrave) as well as numerous articles. He has been a recipient of fellowships from the Fulbright Comission, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst.
