Giorgio Magri is a researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France. He has an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in linguistics. His field of research is computational generative linguistics, which attempts at distilling the algorithmic implications of typologically motivated linguistic structure. His current work focuses on models for the child's early acquisition of phonotactics within constraint-based phonology.
